hitman diaries
A project I've been working on and off for some years now. Though only recently have I upped my game as I've decided to see how this one works in a comic book format. Before it was more like a diary with pictures... see hitmandiaries.net to see what I mean. I think this new format has been good for the work so far and it means there's a lot of drawing involved which is healthy for my drawing hand.
unfortunate souls
Strange rhymes and illustrations of the unfortunate souls who inhabit a strange part of my subconscious. This is a project I began during my degree on not much more than a whisper of insanity. I still have a fondness for it which is why it is showcased here. I intend to carry on this madness by improving it and coming up with better new rhymes and characters. This is currently in the works.
sketchbook
The place to try out new ideas or just let my pencil hand do the talking (I tend to not acutally have a clue what I'm drawing until it's finished). The end product can be as much a surprise to me as it might be for anyone else! Shown here are mostly recent sketches and scrawlings drawn on post it notes, moleskine or other sketchbooks using pencil or biro.
life drawing
A selection of drawings from life not photographs. The first couple are from a Dr Sketchy's event at BICS 2010, the remainder are from my time at uni. I really want to step back in to a life drawing class!
